MONTAJE E INSTALACIÓN DE UN SERVIDOR DELL POWEREDGE 2550.
ASSEMBLE & INSTALL OF DELL SERVER POWEREDGE 2550.

En este articulo vamos a explicar cómo se desmonta y se monta un servidor y como es su puesta en marcha para su funcionamiento.

Para iniciar el proyecto cogimos un servidor Dell Poweredge 2550 desmantelado al cual le faltaban piezas claves como la memoria RAM, una placa secundaria posterior SCSI, así como varios IDES, faltaban además tres discos duros y tenía cableado desconectado, por lo tanto no podía funcionar.
To start the project took a server Dell Poweredge 2550 dismantled which were missing key pieces like the RAM, a secondary backplane SCSI, as well as several IDES, missing three hard disk and had wiring disconnected, could therefore not work. 

En primer lugar decidimos desmantelar todos los componentes del servidor pieza a pieza para examinar su estado de funcionamiento.

Tras su desmontaje y observar que todos los elementos no tenían ningún defecto hicimos un recuento de piezas y vimos que le faltaban las piezas anteriormente mencionadas, volvimos a montarlas y conectamos todo el cableado para poder testar el servidor.

Lo enchufamos a la red eléctrica y le conectamos un monitor, un teclado y un ratón. Lo encendimos pero nos dio una serie de pitidos de error de la BIOS, cuya secuencia era 1-3-3-1 que indica la ausencia de la memoria RAM. Le instalamos una y volvimos a testar y esta vez nos encendió.
We plugged to the mains and connect you to a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. We lit it but he gave us a series of beeps error from the BIOS, whose sequence was 1-3-3-1, which indicates the absence of the RAM. Install it one and went back to test and this time we went on.

Conectamos los tres discos duros que faltaban pero comprobamos que dos de ellos no eran detectados en la BIOS. El motivo era la ausencia de una placa secundaria posterior SCSI. La instalamos y arrancamos con normalidad y listo para instalar el sistema operativo Windows Server 2003.
We connect the three hard disk that were missing but saw that two of them were not detected in the BIOS. The reason was the absence of a secondary backplane SCSI. Install it and start normally and ready to install the Windows Server operating system 2003.

Tras su instalación, y poniendo los drivers específicos del hardware Dell, quedó listo para trabajar con él como puesto de trabajo o servidor de red local, y ya que su hardware y software es antiguo, entendemos que sus requerimientos a nivel de aplicaciones web y comunicaciones con internet están obsoletos dado que la informática avanza muy rápido.
